The Cabinet of Ministers appointed Ivan Turchak as State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, dismissing him from a similar position at the Ministry of Digital Transformation. The relevant orders were published on the Government portal, reports "Komersant Ukrainian".

What the government decided

According to Order No. 38-r of January 19, 2026, Ivan Turchak has been appointed State Secretary of the Ministry of Defense for a term of five years, starting from the date he actually takes up his duties. At the same time, the government terminated his powers as State Secretary of the Ministry of Digital Transformation “in connection with his transition to another job.”

Dmytro Rugaiev has been temporarily appointed to perform the duties of State Secretary of the Ministry of Digital Transformation.
