The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU), together with the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office (SAP), has submitted to the court an indictment against the acting head of the State Customs Service, who failed to declare his estate in the Kyiv suburbs. This is stated in the official statement of the NABU, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

Although the statement does not name the official, according to the State Customs Service’s website, Serhiy Zvyagintsev is temporarily acting head of the agency.

According to the investigation, in 2021-2023, the official failed to indicate in his electronic declarations a residential building of almost 237 square meters and a land plot under it worth more than $100,000.

Formally, this real estate is registered in the name of his wife’s father, but, according to the investigation, the real owner is the official himself and his family.

The actions of the accused are qualified under Part 1 of Article 366-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine – submission of false information in the declaration.

The sanction of the article provides for a fine of up to UAH 85,000, community service or restraint of liberty for up to two years, as well as a possible ban on holding public office for three years.
