Who earned the most in Ukraine: import data for 2025

In January-September 2025, Ukraine imported $60.1 billion worth of goods and exported $29.5 billion. This was reported by the State Customs Service, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

According to official data, imports of goods to Ukraine during this period amounted to $60.1 billion, and exports – $29.5 billion.

At the same time, taxed imports reached $45.9 billion, which is 76% of all imported goods. The tax burden per 1 kg of taxed imports amounted to $0.52/kg.

Geography of imports and exports

Most goods were imported to Ukraine from:

  • China – $13.3 billion;
  • Poland – $5.7 billion;
  • Germany – $4.8 billion.

At the same time, the main destinations of Ukrainian exports were:

  • Poland – $3.7 billion;
  • Turkey – $2.1 billion;
  • Germany – $1.8 billion.

Import structure

More than two-thirds of all imported goods (69%) fall into three main categories:

  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles – $23.8 billion.
    Revenues from customs clearance of these goods amounted to UAH 148.3 billion (29% of all customs payments).
  • Chemical products – $9.4 billion.
    Budget contributions amounted to UAH 72.9 billion (14%).
  • Fuel and energy products – $7.6 billion.
    UAH 146.6 billion was paid to the state budget, which also accounts for 29% of customs revenues.

Export structure

The top three most exported goods from Ukraine are:

  • Food products – $16.2 billion;
  • Metals and metal products – $3.4 billion;
  • Machinery, equipment and vehicles – $2.8 billion.

In the first nine months of the year, UAH 641.9 million was paid to the state budget for customs clearance of exports of goods subject to export duties.

Thus, despite the challenging wartime conditions, Ukraine maintains active foreign trade dynamics, with the EU and Asia remaining its main partners.
