The company of Vyacheslav Suprunenko, the former son-in-law of former Kyiv mayor Leonid Chernovetsky and former Kyiv City Council member, has acquired another special permit for peat extraction in Lviv and Volyn regions.

In particular, Suprunenko’s Ukrtorf LLC has acquired special permit No. 4589 for the Stoyaniv field (areas 1-8, 10) with an area of 1,222 hectares and 4.7 million tons of peat reserves on the secondary market, the industry publication Nadra.Info writes, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

The original user of this field was Yevhen Vorchylov’s Stoyaniv peat briquetting plant (until February, the plant was controlled by Oleg Gogenko).

The Stoyaniv field is the fourth peat asset in Mr. Suprunenko’s arsenal, the publication notes.

In October 2023, another of his companies, Agribiostandard LLC, was granted the right to buy the property complex of the profitable state-owned enterprise Volyntorf virtually without auction.

Along with the privatized property, Agribiostandard also obtained special permits for peat extraction in Volyn region (it currently controls three fields: Soyne, Vutyshno, and Zasvitia Sitneluk).

In 2024, Viacheslav Suprunenko tried to get a special permit for the Mak field in Rivne region through Ukrtorf and even won the State Service of Geology and Mineral Resources auction. However, it turned out that the subsoil plot overlapped with a nature reserve, so the special permit remained unacquired.

At the same time, Viacheslav Suprunenko recently founded another mining company, Geomain LLC. The company with an authorized capital of UAH 100 thousand was registered on March 18, 2025, in Terebovlia, Ternopil region, and its ownership structure is identical to Ukrtorf LLC.

The declared activities of Geomine LLC include extraction of peat and other minerals, production of copper and other non-ferrous and precious metals, gas production, exploration drilling, engineering, geology and geodesy.
