Businessman and former member of the Kyiv City Council Denys Komarnytskyi said that he once provided legal advice to Semen Kryvonos, the current director of the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine. This is reported by DS with reference to Komarnitsky’s own words in his blog.

According to Komarnytsky, the assistance concerned Kryvonos’ participation in the competition for the post of head of the State Inspectorate of Architecture and Urban Planning of Ukraine (SIAP).

“I advised him on legal issues when he participated in the competition for the post of head of the State Inspectorate for Architecture and Urban Planning. He had problems at his previous job related to suspicions of illicit enrichment and land fraud,”

– the businessman and politician wrote.

Komarnitsky also links the intensification of NABU’s actions in Kyiv to the appointment of Tkachenko as the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration. He emphasized that Tkachenko’s wife is the sister of Kryvonos’ wife, and, according to him, the NABU director allegedly has a personal interest in supporting Tkachenko and seeks to gain influence on the Kyiv City Council.

What is known about Denys Komarnytskyi

Denys Komarnytskyi was the leader of the Leonid Chernovetskyi Bloc faction in the Kyiv City Council in 2008-2010.

In 2020, MP Geo Leros gave Bihus.Info journalists a flash drive with the copied contents of one of Komarnitsky’s work computers. It was seized by the SBU during searches. The computer contained so-called “concepts” related to the functioning of the city’s construction market. From the published materials it became known that in recent years Komarnitsky has been the main “supervisor” of the construction and utilities sectors in Kyiv.

According to Ekonomichna Pravda, companies associated with Komarnitsky regularly received large construction and reconstruction contracts from Kyiv utilities. In particular, he was the beneficiary of the general contractor for the construction of the Podil Bridge Crossing in Kyiv, the estimated cost of which increased from UAH 11.2 billion to UAH 19.9 billion by the decision of the Kyiv City Council.

In 2020, an audio recording of a telephone conversation between Deputy Mayor of Kyiv Vyacheslav Nepop and Komarnitsky was posted online. In the conversation, Komarnitsky insults and humiliates Nepop and threatens him.

on February 10, 2025, the NABU put former Kyiv City Council member Denys Komarnytskyi on the wanted list, as he was charged with leading a criminal organization involved in land deals in the capital. Earlier, NABU Director Semen Kryvonos reported that Komarnytskyi was hiding from the investigation in Ukraine.

However, later it turned out that Komarnitsky was no longer in Ukraine, but in Vienna, the capital of Austria.
