Ukraine is launching a national practical educational programme, Compass: Restart and Business Development, aimed at supporting entrepreneurs who were forced to relocate due to the Russian invasion. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Digital Transformation, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"

The programme, initiated by the Ministry of Digital Transformation and implemented by the Office for Entrepreneurship and Export Development, will provide the necessary knowledge and resources to restore business in the new environment.

“According to the study, almost 8,000 businesses have changed their region of registration since the start of the full-scale war. That is why we have created a programme for internally displaced entrepreneurs to provide them with the knowledge and impetus to restore their businesses,”

– said Valeria Ionan, Deputy Minister of Digital Transformation.

The programme, which will run from 11 July to 31 October 2024, includes 12 online modules with practical training, homework and networking. Some events will be held offline at Diia.Business centres in Bucha, Rivne, Ternopil and Lutsk.

“Despite the hostilities, Ukraine retains $28 billion of untapped export potential,”

– said Maryna Sydorenko, a representative of the International Trade Centre, which supports the project.

The programme is open to 220 business representatives and self-employed IDPs. The application deadline is 30 June. You can learn more about the project here.

The online presentation of the programme will take place on 20 June at 15:00. Registration for the event is available here.

Last year, businesses changed their address and director information 4 times more often.
