As of May 2025, more than 27,500 applications have already been submitted to the RD4U International Register of Losses, created to document the losses caused by Russia’s aggression against Ukraine. This was reported by the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Recently, the tenth category of applications was announced, covering damage or destruction of non-residential real estate – warehouses, offices, shops, industrial premises, etc. This expands the opportunities for those who have lost commercial property as a result of the war to receive fair compensation.
TheRD4U registry was officially launched in April 2024 and became the first stage in the creation of an international compensation mechanism aimed at ensuring that victims of Russian aggression are entitled to compensation.
Ukraine, together with its international partners, is actively working on the next components of the mechanism – the Commission for Review of Applications and the compensation fund from which payments will be made.
This is an important step towards restoring justice and holding Russia accountable for the destruction it caused during the full-scale invasion.
