Kozlovskyy, Svishchov, Geregi: the ranking of top investors in Western Ukraine has been published

In the midst of a full-scale war, when the country’s economy is facing enormous challenges, Ukrainian business is demonstrating not only extraordinary resilience but also strategic vision. Entrepreneurs in Western Ukraine have turned the region into a powerful investment hub and are investing billions of hryvnias in rebuilding, creating new jobs and strengthening the country. A recent rating of the TOP-10 investors in Western Ukraine bythe Economic News publication recognized the Lviv tandem of Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy and Oleksandr Svishchov, the founder of OKKO Group Vitaliy Antonov, the “Ambassador of Zakarpattia” Gennadiy Gutman, and others. The Gereg spouses topped the ranking, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

Oleksandr and Halyna Gereh are co-owners of the Epicenter K group of companies. “They develop the national network of Epicenter and Nova Liniya shopping centers, as well as actively invest in agriculture, woodworking and ceramic tile production,” say the authors of the rating, who gave the couple the first place in the TOP-10.

Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy: hotel infrastructure, sports, rehabilitation of the military
Hryhoriy Kozlovskyy, founder of FC Rukh and philanthropist, took the second place in the ranking. His business empire includes well-known hotel and restaurant complexes in Lviv, such as the Grand Hotel, the 36Po restaurant, and the modern Emily Resort.
However, the key focus of his investments is on the development of sports and football, in particular, the brainchild of the entrepreneur, the Rukh Football Academy, which remains a unique project for Ukraine to educate the younger generation of football players. In addition, Kozlovskyy recently announced the construction of a new, even more modern academy with innovative “space” fields and a branch of the British School.
Kozlovskyy’s activities also include charitable projects. In particular, his charity foundation Movement to the Future is focused on supporting the Armed Forces of Ukraine, and Ukrainian soldiers undergo rehabilitation at Emily Resort.

Oleksandr Svishchov: food security and sports
Oleksandr Svishchov, president of the Ukrainian Water Polo Federation, was ranked third in the ranking for opening one of the largest fish processing plants in Eastern Europe in August 2025 in Lviv region.
The new enterprise, PJSC Lviv Regional Fish Production Plant, with a capacity of 300 tons of products per month, has already created hundreds of jobs and will provide millions of dollars in local budget revenues in the future, the authors of the Rating point out.
In addition to industry, Svishchov develops sports infrastructure, being the owner of the largest sports and entertainment complex in Lviv , LEOLAND. As the head of the Water Polo Federation, the entrepreneur is focused on popularizing this sport by creating conditions for training young athletes.
The TOP-10 also includes leaders of the agro-industry, IT and energy sectors, including sugar magnate Volodymyr Matkivsky, founder of OKKO Group Vitaliy Antonov, president of SoftServe Corporation Taras Kitsmey, owner of T.B. Fruit Taras Barshchovsky, founder and CEO of MacPaw IT company Oleksandr Kosovan, and owner of Agricom Group Anatoliy Shkriblyak.
Gennadiy Gutman, the founder of Chateau Chizay winery in Zakarpattia, rounds out the list of top 10 investors. The entrepreneur was awarded the title of “Ambassador of Zakarpattia” for popularizing the region.
His company left the Russian market back in 2015 and is successfully conquering the markets of Europe and Asia, – the authors of the Rating note.

The rating and, in fact, the diversity of areas developed by Ukrainian entrepreneurs demonstrates the diversification and resilience of the economy of Western Ukraine.
