Ukrainian Cup 2025/2026: schedule of matches of the 1/8 finals and main intrigues of the tournament

The management of the Ukrainian Football Association has announced the dates of the matches of the 1/8 finals of the Ukrainian Cup in the 2025/2026 season. The main intrigue – the duel between Dynamo Kyiv and Shakhtar Donetsk – will take place on October 29 at 18:00, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
At this stage, the teams that won the previous stage – the 1/16 finals – continue to compete.
In total, 68 teams are participating in this year’s Cup, 21 of which are amateur clubs, which indicates the wide geography of the tournament and the opportunity for lower league teams to express themselves.

The format of the competition
The match consists of one match.
If the main time ends in a draw, the teams immediately shoot a series of post-match penalties – without additional halves.
The main intrigue
The central match of the 1/8 finals will undoubtedly be the “classic” confrontation between Dynamo and Shakhtar, which will take place on October 29. Interestingly, in a few days, on November 2, the same teams will meet again – in the 11th round of the UPL.
