Kyiv continues to discuss the development of the capital’s subway system. It turned out that the construction of the Troieschyna subway, which will become part of the Podilsko-Vyhurivska line, will cost the capital 68 billion hryvnias, or about 1.5 billion euros.

This is stated in the draft decision of the Kyiv City Council, which has already been supported by the Commission on Local Self-Government, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to the calculations, 68 billion hryvnias is the estimated cost of the first stage of the subway, which will run from Hlybochytska to Rayduzhna stations. For comparison, the total budget of Kyiv for 2025 is about UAH 90 billion, so the scale of the project is obvious.

It is also known that the first stage of the Podilsko-Vyhurivska line includes six stations: “Hlybochytska (with a transfer to Lukianivska), Podilska (with a transfer to Taras Shevchenko), Sudobudivna, Trukhaniv Island, Desenko Bay, and Raiduzhna. The Rayduzhna terminal station will be located on the territory of Rusanivski gardens.

The second phase of the line will run in the opposite direction and include stations: “Stalsky Street, Bratislavska Street, Perov Boulevard, Vatutin Avenue, Kashtanova Street, Dreiser Street, Saburova Street, Tsvetaeva Street, Myloslavska Street, Peremohy Square, Vokzalna Street, and Solomianska Square.

The document provides for the possibility of attracting loans from international financial organizations to implement a large-scale project. It is about financing the construction of the entire line – from the Ring Road to the Troyeshchyna residential area. In total, Kyiv plans to take out a loan of €1.3 billion to build the Troieschyna subway.
