Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov has once again justified the killing of civilians in Ukraine after a new massive Russian strike on Ukrainian cities on April 24. He made the statement in an interview with CBS, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
When asked by the host why civilians were killed after Ukraine declared its readiness to ceasefire back in March, Lavrov began to speak typical Russian propaganda slogans.
“We only strike military targets or civilian objects used by the military. Putin has said this many times,” the Russian Foreign Minister replied.
Speaking again on the topic of negotiations with Ukraine, Lavrov said that there are “several signs that we are moving in the right direction.”
“There are several signs that we are moving in the right direction – first of all, because President Trump is perhaps the only leader on the planet who recognizes the need to address the root causes of this situation. When he said that it was a huge mistake to drag Ukraine into NATO. It was a mistake of the Biden administration, and he wants to fix it,” he said.
Lavrov added that Russia continues to maintain contacts with the American side on the “situation in Ukraine.”
On the night of April 24, Russian occupiers massively attacked Kyiv with missiles and drones. The terrorist attack resulted in 77 injuries, more than 30 have yet to be found under the rubble, and 12 dead, including children.
Today, April 25, Kyiv has declared a Day of Mourning in memory of the victims of the massive missile attack that Russia launched on the capital.
