French President Emmanuel Macron has assured that the jewelry stolen from the Louvre on Sunday will be found and the robbers will be brought to justice.

The country’s leader wrote about this on his page on the social network X, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to him, the robbery of the Louvre is an attempt on the historical heritage, which is cherished.

“We will return the works, and the perpetrators will be brought to justice. Everything is being done to achieve this, under the leadership of the Paris prosecutor’s office, everything possible is being done,” Macron wrote.

On the morning of October 19, the Louvre was attacked by masked robbers. They broke into the Apollo Gallery and stole nine pieces of jewelry. The crown of Empress Eugenie, the wife of Napoleon III, has already been found lying broken in the street. The criminals managed to get away in a few minutes, and a manhunt has been organized.
