Massive shelling of Ukraine: trains change routes, there are delays

As a result of the large-scale missile attack, energy and transportation infrastructure facilities were damaged throughout Ukraine. Power outages have occurred in several regions, affecting the movement of passenger and suburban trains. Ukrzaliznytsia has announced operational changes to the schedule, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

Thetrain #43/44 Ivano-Frankivsk – Cherkasy, which is already on the route, is forced to change its route through Kyiv region. The preliminary delay is up to 2 hours.

Thetrain #793/794 Cherkasy – Kyiv will also be rerouted. The expected delay is about 1 hour.

There may be changes in the movement of suburban trains and additional delays, which will be announced separately.

Ukrzaliznytsia is in a rapid response mode and urges passengers to closely monitor official updates on the website and in the company’s official Telegram channels.

What passengers should do:

  • Check information about your flight before traveling.
  • If possible, arrive at the station early.
  • Remain calm and follow the instructions of railroad and security personnel.

The Ministry of Energy reported that Russia launched a new massive attack on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure with missiles and drones at night.

Russia also attacked Kyiv. Four districts were hit and fires broke out, including in high-rise buildings, killing two people.
