There is no massive outflow: “Silpo clarifies information on dismissals among young employees

The Silpo supermarket chain has corrected its data on the number of young employees who resigned due to the possibility of going abroad. In a commentary to our publication, the company emphasized that the resignations of men aged 18-22 are indeed recorded, but their number is only about 3% of the total number of employees in this age group.
This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".
The reason for this phenomenon is legislative changes that allow men under 22 to temporarily leave Ukraine. For some employees, this was the impetus for deciding to work or study abroad. At the same time, Silpo emphasized that this is not a massive outflow of personnel, and that individual cases do not affect the stability of the company’s operations.
The company’s comments came after a number of Ukrainian media outlets published information with an incorrect interpretation of the words of Silpo representative Roman Bondar. The publications stated that “almost all employees of the chain aged 18-22 resigned and left the country” in the past week.
The company emphasized that this thesis is not true and is an exaggeration.
