Poland has provided Ukraine with energy assistance worth over PLN 10.2 million, more than half of which – PLN 5.74 million (UAH 70 million) – was collected in churches of the Krakow Archdiocese and donated to the Krakow Caritas account, according to the Embassy of the Republic of Poland in Kyiv, as reported by "Komersant Ukrainian".

“The 5.74 million zlotys is the result of collections in the churches of the Krakow Archdiocese and donations from people of good will to the Krakow Caritas account following the appeal by the Metropolitan of Krakow, Cardinal Grzegorz Ryś, on January 24, 2026, for help for the residents of Kyiv,” the statement on social media said.

According to the embassy, the Polish Ministry of the Interior and Administration and the Government Agency for Strategic Reserves donated nearly 1,000 electric generators and heaters to Ukrainians.

Energy aid to Ukraine

Earlier, it was reported that in January alone, Ukraine received energy assistance from nearly two dozen countries.

In particular, Ukraine received generators, mobile boiler rooms, industrial boilers, and uninterruptible power supplies to ensure the operation of critical and social infrastructure. At the same time, some countries focused on financial support for Ukraine’s energy sector.
