Kyiv Mayor Declared UAH 1.5 Million from Video Games and a Villa Near Kyiv: Details

Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko has filed his annual electronic declaration, in which he disclosed both his official income and the structure of his property, savings and valuable assets. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the electronic declaration of the head of the capital.
Income and sources of income
Klitschko’s main official income is recorded as a salary for performing his duties as mayor of Kyiv. In 2024, he received UAH 1 million 233 thousand 270, which is significantly higher than his income for the previous year, when the amount was about a million hryvnias. The increase may be due to bonuses, recalculations, or allowances, which is a common practice for high-ranking officials.
In addition, the mayor declared UAH 1 million 537 thousand 431 in royalties from the British company Steel City Interactive LTD. The company develops video games, and analysts suggest that the income could be related to the use of Klitschko’s name or image in one of the game projects, for example, in a sports boxing simulation. This is not the first time that the former world boxing champion has received payments for the commercial use of his name in the digital sphere.
Financial assets
Klitschko also reported significant savings. He has in his bank accounts:
- 513 thousand 406 hryvnias;
- 66 thousand 662 US dollars;
- 1 euro.
In addition to non-cash funds, the mayor keeps cash:
- 200 thousand 121 hryvnias;
- 32 thousand 200 US dollars,
- 28 thousand 300 euros.
Special attention should be paid to the borrowed funds that, according to the declaration, Klitschko provided to third parties: eUR 2.2 million and USD 130 thousand.
It is not specified who received this money, but this may indicate a high level of trust and financial involvement of the mayor in private investment or partnership relations.

Real estate and property
Among the real estate objects, Klitschko indicated:
- an apartment in Kyiv with an area of 251.8 sq. m;
- a holiday home in the village of Liutizh near Kyiv with an area of 785.5 square meters, the value of which is estimated at UAH 69.1 million
- a land plot of 2500 sq. m. at the house.
It is worth noting that the country house near Kyiv is an elite property both in terms of area and estimated value.
Valuables and collections
Klitschko declared a number of luxury items, including
- a Yamaha DC1A grand piano worth UAH 960 thousand
- an antique Jacques Murray & Co;
- a collection of luxury wristwatches, including: 2 IWC pieces, 3 Frank Muller pieces, 2 Mont Blanc pieces.
Vehicles
Among the declared vehicles:
- motorcycle Fine Custom Puncher (2009) – an exclusive model for individual races;
- ironhorse Widebody trailer (2013);
- land Rover Discovery SUV (2013).
