The crews of Russian Tu-22m3 bombers conducted an air strike on the targets of a simulated enemy as part of the West 2025 exercise.

This was reported by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense on its official Telegram channel, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

According to the ministry, long-range aviation pilots staged an attack on a conventional enemy “in order to disrupt the control system and destroy critical facilities.” The crews operated in pairs, and the Tu-22m3 was used in combat at an altitude of about 1,000 meters.

“The training and combat missions were carried out taking into account the combat experience gained,” Russia said.

The joint strategic exercises of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation and Belarus, dubbed Zapad-2025, started on September 12.
