The Ministry of Education and Science has signed the first order to award tuition grants to the incoming class of 2024. Soon, higher education institutions will receive funds to cover part of the tuition fees for 10,809 students. This was announced by Deputy Minister of Education Mykhailo Vynnytskyi, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Students who have been awarded a grant will receive a notification in the Diia app in the coming days.
Vynnytsky noted that the ministry will issue further orders on the appointment of grants as it receives confirmations from students. The last day to confirm a certificate is 5 November.
In the comments under his post, Vynnytskyi added that as of the evening of 2 October, 3,440 students had confirmed their grants.

State grants for education
This year, the government has introduced a pilot project: for the first time, applicants will be able to receive a state grant to pay for a university contract. To do this, an applicant had to score at least 150 points in any two subjects at the NMT.
Funds will be credited through Diia to make the process simple and straightforward.
Students enrolled on a state-funded programme will continue to receive full funding from the state.
Who can receive study grants
The funds will be available to those students who
- received more than 150 points at the NMT in any two subjects (the grant will be 15 thousand hryvnias);
- received more than 170 points at the NMT in any two subjects (the grant will be 25 thousand hryvnias).
How can future students apply for a grant?
To do this, you need to:
- choose an educational institution and programme;
- after enrolment, submit an application for a grant through your account in the Unified State Electronic Database on Education;
- receive a notification of grant approval;
- leave a grant application in Diia;
- after that, the money will be transferred to a special account.
