MIA resumes production of individual license plates for cars

Service centers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs have resumed accepting orders for the production of layouts of individual license plates. This was reported by the press service of the Main Service Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Acceptance of applications was suspended on September 17 due to the fact that the Ministry of Internal Affairs was entering into a new contract with the manufacturer for the purchase of license plates.
Thus, in 10 months of 2024, 11,267 sets of license plates were developed and manufactured. 10,902 of them were ordered through the Driver’s Cabinet.
The cost of the service:
- special products (license plate) for passenger cars – UAH 340.02
- special products (license plate) for motorcycles – UAH 154.80
- three characters (minimum order) – UAH 300
- each subsequent character (up to eight characters) – UAH 90.
- graphic element – 500 UAH.
How to order and receive an individual license plate
You can order an individual license plate at any territorial service center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs or online in the Driver’s Account. You can get the license plate in two ways: by yourself or with delivery to a Nova Poshta branch.
If the specified inscription has already been chosen by another owner or does not meet the requirements of the “Procedure for ordering, issuing and registering license plates of vehicles manufactured to the individual order of their owners”, an online response will be sent to the email about the impossibility of its registration.
The service of individual license plates is provided for up to 40 days.
What is known about an individual license plate
An individual license plate is an addendum to the license plate of the state registration of a vehicle at the individual request of the owner.
The inscription is unique and cannot be repeated.
License plates for passenger cars can contain from three to eight characters – from three to eight letters or from three to seven letters and numbers.
And the inscription for motorcycles – from three to six characters – from two to five letters and numbers. An individual license plate must contain at least two letters.
