Intensity of hostilities increased at the front: battle maps

Over the past day, Sunday, May 4, 269 combat engagements were recorded in various parts of the frontline, most of them in the Pokrovsk sector. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

Yesterday, the enemy launched one missile attack on the positions of Ukrainian units and settlements using one missile, as well as 106 air strikes, including 167 guided aerial bombs. In addition, it carried out 5,550 attacks, including 121 from multiple launch rocket systems, and used 2,628 kamikaze drones to attack.

The aggressor carried out air strikes, in particular, in the areas of Ryasne, Velyka Pysarivka, Tymonovychi in Sumy region; Zakharivka, Rubizhne, Vovchansk in Kharkiv region; Pokrovsk, Sukhyi Yar, Zorya, Leonidivka, Druzhkivka, Rusyn Yar, Malynivka, Udachne, Novopavlivka, Zelenyi Kut, Novoukrainka, Novopil, Bahatyr, Zelene Pole in Donetsk region; Novodarivka, Hulyaypole, Vysoke, Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region; Vesele, Beryslav, Burgunka in Kherson region.

Situation at the frontline

Five firefights took place in the Kharkiv sector yesterday in the areas of Vovchansk, Stroyivka and Tykhyne.

Seven occupants’ attacks were registered in the Kupyansk sector over the last day. Defense forces repelled enemy assaults in the areas of Holubivka, Petropavlivka and towards Pishchane, Hlushkivka and Novoosynove.

The enemy attacked in the Liman sector 22 times. He tried to advance in the areas of Nove, Kopanky, Tverdokhlibove, Kolodyazi and towards Zelena Dolyna, Lipove, Olhivka and Ridkodub.

In the Siversky sector , three firefights took place in the areas of Hryhorivka and Verkhnekamianske yesterday.

All the enemy’s attempts to advance were repelled by Ukrainian troops.

Ten firefights took place in the Kramatorsk sector yesterday in the direction of Mayske, Bila Hora and near Stupochky and Chasovyi Yar.

In the Toretsk sector, the enemy carried out 16 attacks in the areas of Toretsk, Druzhba and in the direction of Diliyivka.

In the Pokrovsk sector, our defenders stopped 115 aggressor attacks in the direction of Hnativka, Myroliubivka, Promin, Novosergiivka, Stara Mykolaivka, Nova Poltavka, Oleksiivka, Bahatyr, as well as in the areas of Malynivka, Dachanske, Zvirove, Novooleksandrivka, Udachne, Yelizavetivka, Lysivka, Shevchenko, Kotlyarivka, Troitske, Andriivka, and Bohdanivka.

In the Novopavlivka sector, the Defense Forces repelled 52 enemy attacks near the towns of Kostiantynopil, Rivne, Novopil, Novosilka, Pryvilne and in the direction of Zelene Pole, Shevchenko, and Bahatyr.

The enemy attacked the positions of our defenders five times in the area of Vysoky in the Huliaipil sector.

In the Orikhivsk sector, near Novoandriivka, Pyatikhatky and Stepove, the invaders made three futile attacks on the positions of our defenders.

The enemy did not conduct any offensive actions in the Prydniprovsky sector.

In the Kursk sector, our troops repelled 23 enemy attacks yesterday. The enemy made 317 artillery attacks, 11 of which were from multiple launch rocket systems. Moreover, 10 air strikes were carried out, during which 13 guided aerial bombs were dropped.

There were no signs of enemy offensive groups forming in the Volyn and Polissya directions.

Enemy losses

Yesterday, the aviation, missile forces and artillery of the Defense Forces hit 14 areas of concentration of personnel, weapons and military equipment, one air defense system, an electronic warfare station, an artillery system and one other important enemy object.

In total, the Russian invaders suffered 1260 casualties over the last day. Ukrainian troops also neutralized five tanks, eight armored combat vehicles, 43 artillery systems, one multiple launch rocket system, 137 operational and tactical UAVs, and 109 units of occupant vehicles.
