Another earthquake hits Kamchatka

An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.0 was recorded on the coast of Kamchatka.
This was reported by the press service of the Kamchatka branch of the Federal Research Center “Unified Geophysical Service of the Russian Academy of Sciences,” "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
“The distance from Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky : 158. Depth: 43.8 km. Magnitude: 5.0,” the report said.
on July 30, an earthquake hit Kamchatka with a magnitude of 8.8, the strongest seismic event in the region since 1952. Residents of the region were warned about the threat of a tsunami, and an emergency situation was declared in the North Kuril region.
The largest earthquake in Kamchatka caused an increase in volcanic activity. For the first time in 625 years, the Krasheninnikov volcano began to erupt, the Avachinsky volcano became more active, and lava flows began to pour out at Klyuchevsky.
