Three new technologies that would greatly help Ukrainian soldiers at the front were demonstrated at the training ground. This was announced by Mykhailo Fedorov, Vice Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development, Minister of Digital Transformation of Ukraine, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“The frontline is dynamic, and the military constantly has new technological needs. Some of them are critical, they need to be addressed as soon as possible to prevent the enemy from advancing. Right now, 3 technologies are particularly relevant for the soldiers, and Brave1 has already tested them at a series of training grounds,” said Mykhailo Fedorov.

What technologies can help the frontline

Swarm of drones. It allows one pilot to control a whole group of UAVs. The drones in the swarm can perform missions autonomously thanks to their group work. The developers have shown how UAVs work within a single drone swarm, and also demonstrated the operation of this solution in robotics operations. The drone swarm technology for group missions was presented by seven Ukrainian manufacturers at the training ground.

Guided munitions. They hit the target with increased accuracy. Such munitions are automatically aimed at the target by adjusting their own flight. The use of these munitions significantly increases the effectiveness of combat missions of bomber drones. Ten manufacturers presented guided munitions of various weights at the range. Test drops of guided munitions from an altitude of more than 1 km were conducted, with deviations from the target measured.

Robotic dog. This technology, which is already actively used in military operations in the United States and other countries, was also tested. The robotic dog performs logistics and reconnaissance functions in different weather conditions and terrain. It can travel almost 10 kilometers on a single charge. The technology is showing good results, so Brave1 is already communicating with the American company so that the Security and Defense Forces can start using the robotic dog in Ukraine.

According to the Ministry of Strategic Industries, the event was attended by representatives of specialized research institutes who discussed technical requirements for products with manufacturers so that developers could better prepare their products for testing, certification and other necessary procedures. The military also had the opportunity to voice their recommendations for product improvement.

Robotic systems are already in use in the military

Small robotic logistics platforms, for example, can carry out transportation over a distance of 5 km. This allows them to provide personnel with food, ammunition, and evacuate the wounded. They are controlled remotely, which prevents the enemy from inflicting losses on Ukrainian defenders.

Reportedly, the Central Research Institute of the Armed Forces of Ukraine conducted a simulation, according to which the use of robotic systems in units reduces personnel losses by up to 30%. This has already been confirmed on the front line.
