The body of a person liable for military service was found in one of the technical rooms of the military commissariat in Poltava region. The military commissariat says the man committed suicide, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The Poltava Regional Military Commissariat reports that the conscript was brought to the preliminary assembly point by the police because he was wanted. He refused to undergo a military medical examination, so a refusal certificate was drawn up.
According to the CCC and JV department, a report was being prepared to the police on the fact of his refusal to undergo the examination, which was based on Article 336 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Last year, the citizen was already sentenced under this article to three years in prison with a one-year probation period, which ended in September this year.
“No physical or psychological pressure was exerted on the conscript – he was waiting at the assembly point for all the documents to be completed,” the TCC and JV assured.
A criminal case has been opened over the man’s death.
An internal investigation is being conducted to find out all the causes and circumstances.
The military enlistment office called for “adherence to information hygiene until the end of the investigation – to check information and refrain from consuming unverified, distorted and manipulative messages”.

According to Suspilne’s sources, the man hanged himself in the toilet of the preliminary gathering point for conscripts in the Shcherbanivska community.
His body was found by technicians. The case is being investigated as a premeditated murder.
