Hydraulic structures damaged in Sumy region as a result of Russian shelling

In the Velykopysarivska community of Sumy region, hydraulic facilities were damaged as a result of a Russian attack. This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
Currently, there is no threat of flooding of settlements – the water level remains stable, unchanged. Experts are constantly monitoring the situation, the regional military administration assures.
The head of the Sumy Regional Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, instructed the Okhtyrka District Administration to urgently convene a commission on technogenic and environmental safety and emergencies with the involvement of representatives of the Regional Water Resources Office.
The meeting concluded that there is currently no risk to local residents. In case of changes, they promise to inform the community promptly.
Shelling of Sumy region continues
Over the past 24 hours, on May 19, Russian troops fired more than 80 times at 34 settlements in Sumy region. The air alert in the region lasted more than 15 hours.
The most intense shelling took place in Sumy and Shostka districts. The occupants used multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS) and dropped explosive devices (EDs) from drones.
The attacks damaged residential buildings, infrastructure and non-residential structures. Overnight, 47 people were evacuated from the border communities of Sumy region.
