In the Vinnytsia region, within the Koziatyn municipal community, an industrial park for the processing and production of biofuel will be established on the site of a new grain elevator.
This was reported by the press service of the Vinnytsia Regional Council, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
“The grain elevator is already operational. This is the first phase of a major project to develop the Industrial Park. Production of industrial alcohol and biofuel, as well as the processing of waste whey into pellets, is also being launched. Energy independence is crucial for Ukraine, so biofuel processing and production, as well as electricity generation, are extremely necessary. The Koziatyn community has provided a land plot for the construction of the Industrial Park. This will create additional jobs for the local population and generate new revenue for the local budget,” noted the chairman of the Vinnytsia Regional Council.
Iryna Repalo, Secretary of the Koziatyn City Council, noted that the enterprise was built from the ground up.
According to her, the elevator’s location is very advantageous. Nearby are a major railway station and a highway.
“We accept raw materials not only from agricultural enterprises in the former Koziatyn district but also from the neighboring Zhytomyr region,” said Iryna Repalo.
She emphasized that following the construction of the second phase of the elevator under the USAID program, the company’s agricultural management is considering the creation of an industrial park, which will drive future economic development.
Today, the grain elevator is a fully-fledged complex that provides services for receiving, analyzing, processing, drying, sorting, storing, and packaging grain shipments, as well as loading them onto road and rail transport.
As a reminder, there are 118 industrial parks operating in Ukraine.
