NABU: Mindich’s extradition procedure continues
11 February 16:24
The National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine reported that the extradition procedure in the case of businessman Timur Mindich is ongoing, and the Bureau is cooperating with more than 10 jurisdictions to block funds linked to the suspects. This was stated by NABU Director Semen Kryvonos during a briefing on “NABU and SAP Results in the Second Half of 2025,” responding to questions from media representatives, according to Komersant Ukrainian.
“The extradition procedure is ongoing. We will work with Israel and other countries. About 10 jurisdictions are already involved in gathering evidence, and we are awaiting new details,” he said.
According to Kryvonos, NABU is currently communicating information on the Midas case with caution. He also noted improved cooperation with financial monitoring.
Separately, the NABU director emphasized that there are no political agreements regarding the Mindich and Energoatom cases.
“There can be no political agreements in NABU and SAPO because NABU and SAPO are not criminal agencies and are not ‘bloody’. NABU and SAPO are a team. NABU and SAPO are prosecutors and detectives. They are a system of checks and balances. They are people who have passed an open competition, have their own opinions, and are completely independent,” he explained.
As Kommersant Ukrainsky wrote , citing former SAPO prosecutor Stanislav Bronevitsky, due to personnel changes at NABU, the Midas case was left without a lead investigator.
