NABU is looking for detectives in Kyiv, Lviv, Kharkiv, Odesa and Dnipro: what are the requirements?

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau (NABU) is looking for detectives to join its team. The requirements for future corruption fighters are a law degree and knowledge of Ukrainian. This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the NABU press service.

NABU is looking for ten employees in Kyiv, Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv and Dnipro.

“The competition for the position of NABU detective continues. We invite men and women to become part of our team. The Bureau has created the right conditions for everyone who wants to join the fight against corruption,” the statement said.

Applications for the detective position will be accepted until 16 November.

Requirements for candidates: higher legal education, fluency in the state language and knowledge of legislation in accordance with job duties.

The candidate must have knowledge of

  • criminal and criminal procedure law;
  • methods of collecting and analysing information, preparing analytical documentation;
  • methods of forensic research;
  • the basics of psychology, including in the field of operational and investigative activities and investigative actions;
  • basics of economics and financial transactions.

Knowledge of foreign languages – English, French or German – will also be an advantage.

However, work experience is not required.

There are other requirements for future detectives, including leadership skills, analytical abilities and the ability to work in a team.

An NABU detective must also be

  • sociable,
  • courageous, honest and responsible,
  • resilient to stress,
  • impartial and objective,
  • disciplined.

After submitting your documents, you will be tested for knowledge of the 1st and 2nd levels of legislation, general aptitude testing, and psychological testing.
