“Naftogaz, Ukrposhta and Ukrtransbezpeka are subjected to a powerful cyber attack

Two state-owned companies, Naftogaz of Ukraine and Ukrposhta, as well as the State Service of Ukraine for Transport Safety, have reported a large-scale cyberattack on their IT systems. As a result, a number of services of these companies and institutions, including the Shlyakh system, are down, reports комерсант

Ukrtransbezpeka was the first to report the problem.

“For the attention of international road carriers and drivers. Due to a technical malfunction of the data centre, access to the SHLYakh system and the official website of Ukrtransbezpeka is temporarily unavailable. The technical department is already solving the problem. The system will resume operation in the near future,”

– the press service said on Facebook.

They promised to report on the resumption of the Shlyakh system as soon as it happens, but as of 12:30 a.m., there was no such message, and the service’s website is still down.

Ukrposhta also reported a technical failure and corresponding restrictions in the service.

“We have experienced a significant technical failure in our IT systems. Our specialists are actively working to fix the problem and restore full operation, but it may take some time. Our outlets are now able to issue parcels and accept payments. Other services will resume later,”

– the company’s press service said.

Naftogaz has not only websites but also a call centre down.

“A large-scale cyberattack was recorded on one of the data centres used by our companies. The websites and call centre are currently down. We will inform you about the timeframe for service recovery later,”
