Attack on military of the TCC in Rivne region: one soldier is in serious condition, criminal proceedings are opened

In the Rivne region, servicemen of the Sarny district territorial center for recruitment and social support were attacked while performing their duties. One of the soldiers was seriously injured and is in serious condition. This was reported by the OK “Zakhid”, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.
What happened
According to the West Operational Command, the incident occurred on December 24. The TCC and JV alert group worked together with the patrol police. The law enforcement officers tried to stop the car to check the documents, but the driver ignored the demands and drove into the territory of a private entrepreneur.
Escalation of the conflict
After that, passers-by joined the situation. The Zakhid OC notes that some of the people present did not understand the legal grounds for the actions of the police and military and began to physically resist: they pulled at the uniforms, shouted obscenities and threw sticks.
The conflict culminated in the use of a metal crowbar by one of the citizens. As a result of the blow, the TCC serviceman suffered a broken rib and bruises to the parenchyma of both lungs.
Condition of the victim
According to the military, the wounded man is in serious condition. Doctors are providing him with the necessary assistance.
Response and investigation
The Operational Command “West” emphasized that this is a direct obstruction of the lawful activities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, combined with violence against servicemen.
The incident was registered in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations under Part 2 of Art. 350 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (threat or violence against an official). The investigation is ongoing.
What the military say
The command emphasizes that all conflict situations should be resolved exclusively in the legal field, and the use of force, improvised objects and attacks leads not to “justice” but to criminal liability.
The Zakhid military command said it was keeping the situation under control and promised to inform about the investigation within the limits allowed by law.
