MP Mezentseva married a military man and showed a photo

Maria Mezentseva, a member of the Servant of the People party, married 33-year-old military officer, commander of the Achilles unit and member of the Kyiv City Council Yuriy Fedorenko. Mezentseva posted photos from the wedding on her Instagram, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
In the photos, Mezentseva, 34, poses in a tight white wedding dress, while her husband wears a ceremonial uniform with insignia.
“Love will win,” the MP commented.
The wedding ceremony took place on 24 April, but only now has Mezentseva spoken about it publicly.
The couple are members of the Servant of the People party.
What is known about Mezentseva
Maria Mezentseva is a native of Kharkiv. In 2015, she became a deputy of the Kharkiv City Council of the 7th convocation, and in 2019, she became a member of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation.
She is the Chair of the Subcommittee on the Approximation of Ukrainian Legislation to the EU and the Head of the Permanent Delegation to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.
Back in December 2019, she joined the Humane Country Inter-Factional Association, created at the initiative of UAnimals to promote humanistic values and protect animals from cruelty. She is also a co-chair of the group for interparliamentary relations with the Kingdom of Belgium.
She is also a co-author of the draft law on drug trafficking.
What we know about Yuriy Fedorenko
Yuriy Fedorenko served under contract in the National Guard of Ukraine as a senior hand-to-hand combat instructor of a special forces company from 2009 to 2015.
In 2014-2015, he took part in the anti-terrorist operation in eastern Ukraine, where he was wounded and discharged as partially fit. In 2016, he became a private entrepreneur.
Since 2020, he has been a member of the Kyiv City Council.
Since the beginning of the full-scale Russian invasion, he has been a member of the 112th Brigade of the 128th Battalion of the Territorial Defence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as the commander of the fourth company.
He was appointed commander of the 4th Company of the 112th Brigade of the 128th Battalion of the Territorial Defence of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In February 2023, on Fedorenko’s initiative, the 4th Company was assigned to the 92nd Separate Mechanised Brigade named after Kosh Ataman Ivan Sirko in the Kharkiv region.
On 9 February 2023, Fedorenko became the head of one of the first companies of strike aircraft systems – the Achilles air-defence system as part of the 92nd Brigade.
