The next victim of the suspect in the murder of Iryna Farion could be MP from the Servant of the People party Maksym Buzhansky from Dnipro. This was stated by the Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko during a briefing, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports

According to him, the suspect’s phone contained the names of other politicians and MPs in the search queries. He also searched for information about meetings of regional councils, etc. He was looking for all this after Farion’s murder.

“I think that she (Iryna Farion – ed.) was the most defenceless of all. We showed him his search plate… I can reveal one name to you: the next person he looked up was Max Buzhansky. I will keep silent about all the other names,” the minister said.

He added that the searches for other politicians that were shown to journalists were dated 21.07, the day the suspect left Lviv.

“That is, he had already moved on from what he had done and was probably already preparing the next possible action,” Klymenko said.

Buzhansky reacted to the information from law enforcement that he could have become the next victim after Irina Farion.

“I am infinitely grateful to the National Police and all those involved in the detention of the suspect in the murder of Farion, I owe them my life,”

– the politician wrote in Telegram.

The MP expressed hope that the investigation would identify all those involved in the crime and that Farion’s killers, perpetrators and organisers would be punished as they deserve.
