The period of severe cold weather is coming to an end in Ukraine, and tonight may be the last serious test of frost. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalka Didenko, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
According to her, the anticyclone that brought severe frosts is gradually breaking down over the country, which means a noticeable increase in air temperature in the coming days.
“We have gone through this severe cold together. That’s it! The strongest frosts are behind us. It was the coldest night,” Didenko wrote.
What will the weather be like in Kyiv?
The forecaster also spoke about the situation in the capital. According to her, the era of severe frosts is coming to an end in Kyiv.
“In Kyiv, the strongest frosts are finally coming to an end. It was the coldest night,” she said.
During the day, dry and sunny weather is forecast in the capital, with temperatures around -10°, and in the afternoon, the south wind will pick up, heralding warmer weather.
The forecaster also published a diagram of the weather in Kyiv.

It will get warmer, but winter is not over yet
At the same time, Natalka Didenko warns that despite the warming, winter is not yet over.
“A significant increase in air temperature is expected in the future. And although there will still be cold spells, winter is not over,” the forecaster emphasized.
What to expect next
Forecasters agree: the frosts are receding, but winter will still make itself felt. The warming will be gradual and unstable, with periodic cold spells.
