“I didn’t expect it to be so pleasant…”: the national campaign from ECO MARKET is extended due to the huge demand

The “Million Undercover” campaign in EKO MARKET supermarkets started as a game with guaranteed gifts at the checkout and turned into a real boom among customers: the excitement was so great that the company decided to extend the campaign until October 22 at the request of the store guests themselves. This is stated in the company’s release, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“We see great interest in the campaign in different cities of the country. It is important for us that as many guests as possible have the opportunity to take advantage of the benefits and receive gifts. That’s why we decided to extend Million Undercover,” the chain says.

The mechanics of the promotion are simple:

  • buy any product from UAH 300
  • get a scratch card at the checkout
  • win a guaranteed gift right away

What you can win:

  • -25% for your favorite tea
  • -20% for cheeses
  • or even a surprise at the checkout

“I have been participating in the campaign for a month and it has significantly reduced my daily expenses: I have saved more than 500 hryvnias on sausage and cheese alone!”, says Olga, a regular customer of ECO MARKET.

And Oleg, the father of little Andriyka, says that scratch cards, which are issued at the cash desks of ECO MARKET for any purchase over UAH 300, have turned into a real game for his son!

“My son has become a real fan of Million Undercover, and we don’t mind: we get discounts, he gets fun and entertainment.”

The network emphasizes that they consciously decided to make the national campaign gamified, and it really showed its results.

“Gamification is a way to combine pragmatic savings with entertainment: when a customer receives a scratch card or spins a virtual wheel, they stop thinking in terms of dry numbers. It turns into a game, and thus into an experience that you want to repeat. It is emotions, not discount percentages, that form loyalty,” the supermarket chain says.

During the national campaign, hundreds of thousands of customers across Ukraine have already received their gifts. This, according to EKO MARKET, shows that Ukrainians are responding positively to the format, where even an ordinary purchase becomes an element of the game.
