Night attack on Kyiv: two high-rise buildings burned down, there are dead

On the night of October 22, Russian troops launched another missile and drone attack on the Ukrainian capital. As a result of the hits and falling debris, fires broke out in different districts of Kyiv and damaged residential infrastructure. Two people were killed. This was reported by the head of the Kyiv City Military Administration, Timur Tkachenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
The biggest destruction is in Dniprovsky district
An enemy strike caused a large-scale fire on the 8th and 9th floors of a residential high-rise building. Rescue services were working under repeated air raid alerts. One person was confirmed dead in the area.
The blast wave also smashed windows in nearby buildings and damaged facades.
Darnytskyi district: fires at several addresses
In Darnytskyi district, a fire broke out in a residential building and a separate non-residential building. Firefighters quickly localized the fire, and information about the victims is being clarified.
Other districts of the capital were also affected
- Holosiivskyi district – a fire broke out after the fall of debris.
- Pecherskyi district – debris fell into the yard of a residential building, setting cars on fire.
- Desnianskyi district – an enemy drone crashed in an open area, according to preliminary data, without casualties or damage.

Attack with ballistic missiles
According to preliminary information, the attack was carried out with ballistic missiles. The air defense forces shot down the enemy targets, but the debris fell in residential areas, causing fires and destruction.

Dniprovsky district:
- uAV debris hit the 6th floor of a 16-storey residential building, followed by a fire. One person died and 10 people were rescued.
- at another address, debris fell in the yard of a residential building without further

Pechersk district:
- a rocket fragment fell with subsequent combustion. The fire is out.
Darnytskyi district:
- uAV fragments hit the territory of the enterprise with the subsequent fire of a two-story building and a hangar.
- also, a 17-storey residential building was hit. The fire is at the level of 14-15 floors.
All services are working at the scene.
This is not the first night attack on Kyiv in recent weeks. Russia regularly uses ballistic missiles and attack drones to terrorize civilians. Authorities are urging residents not to ignore air raid warnings and to stay in shelters until the warning goes off.
