Night attack on Ukraine: warehouse with food supplies damaged in port area

On the evening of March 12, Russian troops attacked port infrastructure in the Odesa region with strike drones. The strike damaged a food warehouse on the port territory.
This was reported by the head of the Odesa Regional Military Administration, Oleg Kipper, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".
The fire was quickly extinguished after the attack.
A fire broke out in the port area after the strike.
Rescue workers quickly extinguished the fire. According to preliminary data, there were no casualties or injuries.
Emergency services are currently working at the site to eliminate the consequences of the attack.
Massive night strike on Ukraine
On the night of March 13, Russian troops attacked Ukraine with a ballistic missile and dozens of drones.
According to the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Russia used:
- 1 Iskander-M ballistic missile
- 126 strike drones
The missile was launched from the Rostov region, and the drones were launched from several locations in Russia and from occupied Crimea.
Most of the drones were shot down
According to information from the Ukrainian Air Force, as of this morning, air defense forces:
- shot down or suppressed 117 drones;
- recorded the impact of a missile and eight drones at seven locations;
- debris from downed UAVs fell at five other locations.
The following were involved in repelling the attack:
- aviation;
- anti-aircraft missile forces;
- electronic warfare units;
- mobile fire groups.
Strikes on regions of Ukraine
The consequences of the attacks were recorded in several regions.
Chernihiv region
In the city of Novhorod-Siverskyi, a drone attacked the city center. A historic building housing the city library was damaged, as were nearby residential buildings.
The head of the district military administration, Alexander Seliverstov, said that civilian infrastructure was hit.
Dnipropetrovsk region
Russian troops attacked the region nearly 20 times in 24 hours. Two people were injured.
Zaporizhzhia region
Three people were injured as a result of attacks on Zaporizhzhia and the surrounding area. In total, Russian troops carried out 899 strikes on 44 settlements in the region.
Donetsk region
Two civilians were killed in the cities of Kostiantynivka and Lyman. Six more people were wounded.
What is known about the attack on the port
The strike on the port infrastructure of Odesa region was part of a nighttime drone attack.
The authorities are assessing the extent of the damage and working to restore the infrastructure.
