Germany is preparing detailed scenarios for a potential conflict with Russia. As part of this initiative, companies, government agencies, and civilians are involved in training that simulates possible war conditions. This was reported by FAZ, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
According to journalists, the Bundeswehr has prepared a document called the “German Operational Plan” consisting of 1000 pages, the details of which are classified. For example, it lists all buildings and infrastructure that are particularly worthy of protection for military reasons.
The document also contains detailed plans on how to act in case of defense, or earlier, in case of tension, i.e. if it is necessary to respond with deterrence to Russian maneuvers on NATO’s eastern flank. In the event of a war between Europe and Russia, Germany expects to “remain a major military hub” for soldiers from other NATO countries.
According to journalists, the document provides for the mobilization of several thousand soldiers.
Bild writes that in a secret document intended for official use only, the German Defense Ministry describes in detail a possible conflict between Russia and NATO. It culminates in the deployment of NATO soldiers and the outbreak of war in the summer of 2025.
The German military proposes joint exercises between the Bundeswehr and civilian organizations, such as maneuvers codenamed Red Storm Bravo. It is emphasized that the German military is already cooperating with local businesses to improve crisis preparedness. Thus, representatives of enterprises in Hamburg should “train five additional truck drivers for every 100 employees”.
Businesses and local residents are also advised to purchase autonomous energy sources such as diesel generators and wind turbines.
The journalists emphasized that the plan has not yet been approved and will be supplemented by Red Storm Bravo exercises and other activities. The purpose of the document is to prepare the country for war.
