Ukraine has introduced a new program of additional support for residents of frontline areas. It is a monetary compensation that will partially cover the cost of housing and utilities. This was reported by the Ministry of Social Policy, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
Families living in combat zones and already enjoying benefits or subsidies will be able to receive additional funds in cash instead of 100 kW of electricity for each family member.
The payments will be made by the Pension Fund of Ukraine automatically, without the need to apply to social security authorities.
Who will receive assistance
The support is intended for households living in the frontline regions that already have a confirmed right to subsidies or benefits.
This means that additional payments will be made to those families who receive state aid to pay for utilities.
The amount of payments
The amount of assistance is UAH 432 for each family member, and the maximum amount for a household is UAH 1,296.
For example, if there are three people in a family, they will receive this maximum amount, which is equal to paying for 300 kW of electricity.
How to get the money
There is no need to submit an application. The payment will be made automatically, based on the available data in the Pension Fund of Ukraine.
This allows you to avoid queues, paperwork and speed up the process.
How long will the program last?
The program will be funded by the government until the end of martial law or until the residents of the frontline areas are able to pay for utilities on their own. If the family evacuates outside the danger zone, the payment will automatically stop.
The Ministry of Social Policy emphasizes that despite the additional assistance, it is important to pay electricity bills on time, as this affects the further provision of targeted support.
As a result, Ukrainian families living near the front line will be able to receive up to UAH 1,300 per month, which will be a real financial support for those who have suffered the most from the war.
