The embassies of Greece, Spain and Italy in Ukraine have announced the temporary closure of their offices in Kyiv. This decision was made after receiving specific information about a possible large-scale air strike on the Ukrainian capital. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the embassies’ statements.

On November 20, the U.S. Embassy published on its website information about a possible high-intensity air attack by the Russian Federation.

Shortly after this statement was released, the Spanish Embassy in Kyiv announced that it would not be providing personal services during this day due to “the increased risk of air attacks across Ukraine.”

In an email sent to Spaniards living in the country, the embassy recommends that they “take extraordinary security measures, follow all recommendations of local authorities and always have a shelter.”

According to the mission, it will continue to address any needs via email.

In their official statements, the embassies of Italy and Greece urged citizens to observe security measures: avoid unnecessary movement in the city, stay in safe places and respond promptly to possible air raid alarms.

“As a precautionary measure, the Italian Embassy in Kyiv will remain closed to the public today. However, the embassy continues to work. In the event of an air raid alert, all Italian citizens in the country are advised to follow the strictest risk reduction measures and immediately seek the nearest shelter,” the Italian Embassy in Ukraine said in a statement.

The embassies emphasize that the closure is a precautionary measure caused by the current situation. Similar actions were previously announced by the US embassies, which also warned of an increased risk of shelling in Kyiv.

Earlier , the United States urged its citizens in Ukraine to exercise maximum caution due to the risk of a major air attack by Russia on November 20; the embassy will be closed in this regard.
