On the night of Saturday, December 20, Russian troops entered the village of Grabovske in Sumy region and took away local residents.
The village of Grabovske is located in the Krasnopilska community directly on the border with the Belgorod region of Russia. According to journalists, at night, the occupiers entered the village and took more than 50 civilians to Russia for so-called “filtration measures”.
These are people who had previously refused to be evacuated. This information was also confirmed by the village elder Larysa Kremezna in a comment to Suspilne. According to her, there were no children among the evacuated people.
Civilians are being evacuated in the border communities of Sumy region due to the threat of Russian attacks. In particular, some residents were taken out of the Krasnopilsk community by armored vehicles.
This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the message of the head of the Sumy regional military administration, Oleg Grigorov.
“The evacuation of civilians from the border communities of Sumy region continues. Today, some residents who had previously refused to be evacuated were evacuated from the Krasnopil community by armored vehicles,” he wrote.
According to Grigorov, the evacuees are now in a transit center and are receiving the necessary assistance. All residents who have applied in advance are being evacuated, and the measures are being implemented in cooperation with volunteers and relevant services.
The enemy leaves no choice for residents of the settlements near the border. The only right thing to do is to evacuate to save lives,” noted Grigorov.
