Olympics 2026: what and when to watch for Ukrainians on February 14 — full schedule of our athletes’ performances

On Saturday, February 14, eight sets of medals will be awarded at the 2026 Winter Olympics in Italy. Ukrainian athletes will compete in five disciplines, including biathlon, cross-country skiing, alpine skiing, ski jumping, and freestyle skiing. The day promises to be eventful for Ukrainian fans, as both experienced athletes and new names will compete on the tracks and ski jumps, according to "Komersant Ukrainian".

In total, the program of the XXV Winter Olympic Games includes 16 sports and 116 sets of awards, with Ukraine represented by 46 athletes in 11 disciplines.

Ukrainians at the 2026 Olympics: who will compete on February 14

One of the first to start will be Ukrainian alpine skier Dmytro Shepyuk, who will compete in the giant slalom. This is one of the most technically difficult disciplines, where speed, precision, and endurance are important.

In cross-country skiing, Ukraine will be represented by the women’s relay team consisting of:

  • Anastasia Nikon,
  • Sofia Shkatula,
  • Yelyzaveta Nopriyenko,
  • Daryna Migal.

The athletes will compete in the 4×7.5 km relay.

The spotlight will also be on the women’s 7.5 km biathlon sprint, where Ukraine will be represented by:

  • Oleksandra Merkushyna,
  • Khristina Dmytrenko,
  • Olena Horodna,
  • Yulia Dzhima.

Yulia Dzhima is one of the most experienced Ukrainian biathletes and has significant international experience.

Ski jumping and freestyle: Ukrainians will compete for high results

The following athletes will compete in ski jumping on the large hill:

  • Yevhen Marusiak,
  • Vitaliy Kalinichenko.

This discipline requires maximum concentration, technique, and psychological stability.

Kateryna Kotsar will represent Ukraine in freestyle, competing in the big air discipline. This is one of the most spectacular types of competition, where the difficulty of the tricks, height, and technique are evaluated.

On the eighth day of the 2026 Olympics, eight sets of medals will be awarded. Ukrainian athletes have the opportunity to demonstrate their high level of training and compete for places in the finals and medal positions.

Ukrainian fans will pay particular attention to biathlon, freestyle, and cross-country skiing, where Ukraine traditionally has strong positions.
