Updating the data of persons liable for military service: TCCs will be able to show their status in the “Reserve”

The spokesperson for the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, Dmytro Lazutkin, has explained how employees of territorial recruitment centres will be able to check data updates in the Reserve system before QR codes appear in it. He said this in an interview with Radio NV, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“A person can demonstrate that they have already updated their data, the app shows it. You just show that you have updated your data after 18 May and complied with the law,”
– Lazutkin said.
The spokesman added that the app will generate an electronic military registration document (MRD), which should be available with a QR code within a month.
“Now the technical team is primarily working on removing the problematic issues that arise with the Reserve. Everything is now at the launch stage: the team is working on cybersecurity and fixing the nuances that are present in this test version. In June, the full version will be launched, where there will be a so-called electronic military ticket, a military registration document with a QR code that can be considered equivalent to a paper one,”
– he explained.
According to him, this will be something similar to what we can see in Diia, where a person can show their driver’s licence or passport in their smartphone.
“It will be the same with the Reserve, and the WOD will be there,”
– he emphasised.
At the same time, Lazutkin stressed that it is impossible to prevent some excesses from occurring on the ground.
“We know that after 18 May, representatives of the TCC, police and border guards will be able to check the water supply and they should have them with them. At the same time, they all need to be instructed. We hope that there will be no such cases or very few,”
– the spokesman concluded.
As reported, on 18-19 May, about 260,000 Ukrainian citizens updated their data via the Reserve mobile application.
It should be noted that on 18 May, an updated law on mobilisation came into force. All men aged 18-60 have 60 days – until 16 July inclusive – to update their registration details.
The Ministry of Defence launched the Reserve mobile application for persons liable for military service, conscripts and reservists on 18 May, after the updated law on mobilisation came into force.
