UN extends payments to Ukrainians: who is eligible for assistance

The World Food Program, together with the Ministry of Social Policy and the Pension Fund of Ukraine, continue to support vulnerable populations. Additional payments for pensioners, people without the right to a pension, and people with disabilities have been extended until the end of July. This is reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the World Food Program publication.

Thanks to this program, more than 315,000 Ukrainians receive about UAH 216 million a month.

The WFP pays the difference of up to UAH 3,250 between the social benefits already received, and there is no need to apply – the funds will be transferred automatically to bank cards or through Ukrposhta.

Who is eligible for assistance from the UN

Pensioners and people with disabilities who have not received any financial assistance (as IDPs or from international organizations) since March 2023 and live in the areas of active or possible hostilities are eligible for financial assistance. Namely, in Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Donetsk, Luhansk, Kharkiv, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Sumy, or Chernihiv regions.

It is noted that there is no need to apply or register – the assistance will be paid automatically in the same way you already receive a pension or social benefits (to a bank card or through Ukrposhta).
