Five Ukrainian universities recognised as the best in the world: which ones

Five Ukrainian universities have been included in the list of the world’s best universities. All of them are based in Kyiv, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports, citing the Times Higher Education.
The following Ukrainian universities were included in the World University Rankings 2025:
Bogomolets National Medical University
The ranking position is 1501 points. The university received the highest number of points in the International Perspectives and Teaching criteria.
National Aviation University
The ranking position is 1501 points. The highest number of rating points (36.7) was received by the criterion “Quality of research”. Compared to 2024, the university has significantly improved its position.
Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute
The ranking position is 1501 points. The university received the highest scores in the International Perspectives (22.3 points compared to 17.8 points in 2016) and Industry (23.3 points) criteria
National University of Life and Environmental Sciences of Ukraine
The ranking position is 1501 points. Experts gave the highest score to the quality of research at the university (26.4 points).
Taras Shevchenko National University of Kyiv
The ranking position is 1501 points. The university received the highest number of points in the International Perspectives category (71.7 points).
In total, 17 Ukrainian universities were included in the World University Rankings 2025. This is three more than last year.
