The ceasefire has ended: Russia has struck an energy facility in the Chernihiv region

13 April 07:15

Despite Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy’s proposal to extend the ceasefire, the Kremlin has resumed strikes against Ukraine, attacking several regions at once. At this time, it is known that an energy facility belonging to Chernihivoblenergo JSC has been hit.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian", citing Chernihivoblenergo JSC and the monitoring channel of the Ukrainian Air Force.

Due to damage to the power facility in the Chernihiv region, 12,000 customers remain without power. Specialists plan to quickly restore power, but they must wait for the air raid alert in the region to end.

The Ukrainian military reports that the occupiers have launched their kamikaze drones toward Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Kharkiv, and Dnipropetrovsk regions. An air threat is also being observed in the Sumy region. The enemy is attacking the region with KABs.

What is known about the Easter truce

During the holiday ceasefire proposed to Moscow by Volodymyr Zelenskyy, 175 defenders and 7 civilians were freed from the occupiers’ captivity. Some of them are wounded. Most had been held captive since 2022.

During this major Christian holiday, the enemy cynically killed a Ukrainian Armed Forces evacuation team. At the time of the attack, the truce had already been in effect for an hour and a half.

The occupiers did not spare their own fighters either. They launched drone strikes against Russian soldiers who had been captured by the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

Overall, during the ceasefire, the Russian army carried out more than two thousand attacks in a single day. Drones and missiles were not launched, but combat operations did not cease—the occupiers continued to engage in battle.
