22-year-old Tyler Robinson, who is suspected of murdering popular conservative activist and blogger Charlie Kirk, refuses to cooperate with the US authorities. This was announced on Sunday, September 14, by Utah Governor Spencer Cox on ABC News, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports.

“He has not confessed to the authorities. He is not cooperating, but all the people around him are cooperating. And I think that’s very important,” Cox said.

Among those who share information about Tyler Robinson with the authorities, Cox named his roommate. Earlier, the governor of Utah, speaking to The Wall Street Journal, claimed that the suspect was strongly influenced by leftist ideas. Spencer Cox also confirmed the information that after the murder of Charlie Kirk, the suspect “jokingly” told users of the Discord platform that he was the shooter.

Robinson is expected to be formally charged on September 16. According to Cox, the public will receive “much more information” after that.

Charlie Kirk, a well-known American conservative activist and blogger, was shot during his speech at Utah Valley University on September 10. Kirk was shot in the neck and hospitalized. A few hours after the assassination attempt, Donald Trump announced Kirk’s death.

The murdered 31-year-old Charlie Kirk was a conservative activist and leading podcaster. He had millions of followers on social media. According to the US media, he was believed to have a good sense of the mood of the young conservative movement and supporters of Trump’s Make America Great Again (MAGA) movement. In 2012, he launched the influential Turning Point USA movement, which advocated for conservative values in educational institutions. Kirk had a direct connection with Trump, with whom they exchanged views, CNN writes.
