After new attacks on the Druzhba pipeline, Slovakia threatens to leave Ukraine without diesel

The Ukrainian Armed Forces’ strikes on the Druzhba oil pipeline are not only against Slovakia’s interests, but also do not benefit Ukraine itself.
This was stated by Slovak Foreign Minister Juraj Blanar, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports citing TVnoviny.
According to him, the Slovak refinery Slovnaft, which produces various products from Russian oil, is currently a major supplier of diesel fuel to Ukraine. In particular, the facility provides 10% of the country’s consumption.
However, due to the strikes on Druzhba, Ukraine may be left without fuel from Slovakia. Blanar also claims that he discussed this topic with his Ukrainian counterpart, Andriy Sybiga, and the Ukrainian Foreign Minister took note of this information.
“We understand that it is difficult for Ukraine, but this infrastructure is very important to us, especially when we see that Ukraine is harming its own interests by risking being left without fuel. It is in our national interest to protect these supplies, and that is why we are also communicating openly with the Ukrainian side,” Blanar said.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Szijjarto, on the other hand, called on Zelenskyy to “stop threatening Hungary” after the Ukrainian president made an interesting pun about friendship with Hungary.
“We have always supported the friendship between Ukraine and Hungary, and now the existence of friendship (or “Druzhba” – ed.) depends on Hungary’s position,” the Ukrainian president said, responding to a journalist’s question.
