25 January 09:15

In Kyiv, 1,676 high-rise buildings remain without heat following the Russian attack on the capital on January 24.

This was reported by "Komersant Ukrainian" with reference to the mayor of Kyiv, Vitali Klitschko.

According to him, as a result of damage to critical infrastructure facilities the day before, almost 6,000 buildings were left without heating again. Most of them had already been connected or attempts had been made to connect them to the heat supply twice after the shelling on January 9 and 20.

At the same time, since the evening of January 24, utility and energy workers have been able to restore heat supply to more than 1,600 buildings. Work to eliminate the consequences of the attack continues, and specialists are continuing to work to restore heat to the homes of Kyiv residents as quickly as possible.

Recovery after the Russian Federation’s attack on Kyiv

Recall that Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported that after the night shelling, about 3,300 high-rise buildings were left without heat supply. Utility services are working in an enhanced mode, restoring the city’s life support systems.

At the same time, water supply has already been restored on the left bank of the capital, but there may be interruptions in the water supply on the upper floors of buildings. Work is continuing to restore electricity, heat, and stable water supply after the Russian Federation’s massive attack on critical infrastructure.

As reported, on the night of January 24, Kyiv was hit by drones and missiles. Damage was recorded in five districts of the city, with residential and non-residential buildings destroyed. According to the latest data, one person was killed and at least four others were injured.
