President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy had a meaningful meeting with US Special Representative for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, who is leading the US delegation to the Ukraine Recovery Conference. Zelensky said this on the social network X, according to "Komersant Ukrainian"
According to Zelensky, they discussed arms supplies and strengthening air defense.
“Against the backdrop of increasing Russian attacks, this is one of the priorities. We also talked about the purchase of American weapons, joint defense production and localization in Ukraine,” the head of state said.

The President added that they had discussed sanctions pressure on Russia in detail.
“We understand that we need stricter restrictions against the Russian energy sector, and especially secondary sanctions against buyers of Russian oil. We hope that the bill by Senators Graham and Blumenthal will move forward in the US Congress. This is something that can undoubtedly make Russia think more about peace,” Zelenskyy emphasized.
The U.S. Special Representative is part of the American delegation that will participate in the International Conference on Ukraine’s Recovery on July 10-11, organized by the Italian government.
The meeting took place during the President’s visit to Rome.
The protocol meeting between Zelenskyy and Kellogg did not include statements by either official or answers to journalists’ questions.
The meeting was attended by Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiga, Defense Minister Rustem Umerov, Presidential Administration Chief of Staff Andriy Yermak, and his deputy Pavlo Palisa.
This week, an international conference on Ukraine’s recovery will be held in Rome, where leaders of partner countries will discuss strategies for rebuilding the country after the war. This is the fourth such conference.
