Weather forecast for the weekend of March 28–29: where in Ukraine it will be warm, and where it will rain

The last weekend of March in Ukraine will be mostly mild, although rain and a slight drop in temperatures are possible in some regions. Forecasters predict the heaviest precipitation in the west of the country and in the south of the Odesa region, while most of the country will see Saturday and Sunday without significant rain.

What will the weather be like in Ukraine on March 28–29
According to the forecaster’s forecast, relatively comfortable spring temperatures will persist in most regions of Ukraine during the last weekend of March.
During the day on Saturday and Sunday, temperatures will reach 12–18 degrees.
Natalka Didenko noted that rain is most likely:
- in the western regions;
- in the south of the Odesa region;
- in some parts of Zhytomyr region;
- in some parts of Kyiv Oblast;
- and on Sunday also in Luhansk region.
At the same time, precipitation is unlikely across most of Ukraine.
Where will it be coldest
The meteorologist warned that on March 28, it will be colder in the northeastern and parts of the central regions.
These include:
- Sumy Oblast;
- Chernihiv Oblast;
- Kharkiv Oblast;
- Poltava Oblast;
- the eastern districts of Kyiv Oblast.
Daytime temperatures there are expected to reach only 8–11 degrees.
What will the weather be like on Sunday
On March 29, temperatures will drop slightly in western and northern Ukraine.
According to Natalka Didenko, temperatures there are expected to reach 9–12 degrees on Sunday, while other regions will continue to experience moderately warm weather.
What will the wind be like
Eastern and northeastern winds will prevail in Ukraine over the weekend.
Forecasters predict that it will be:
- moderate;
- gusty in places.
Because of this, the temperature may feel slightly lower than what the thermometers show.
Weather in Kyiv on March 28–29
No significant precipitation is forecast for the weekend in the capital.
According to the forecaster:
- on Saturday, March 28, daytime temperatures will be 12–14 degrees;
- on Sunday, March 29, temperatures are expected to be 10–12 degrees;
- cloud cover will increase on Sunday.
So, the weather in Kyiv will be quite comfortable, although it will get a little cooler toward the end of the week.

Forecasters remind us that the weather may become more changeable in late March and early April.
