Cold snap with rain and sleet: weather forecast for November 20

Starting today, November 20, the weather in Ukraine will start to deteriorate. Currently, rains are predicted only in the west of the country, but starting November 22, they will gradually cover the whole of Ukraine. This was reported by weather forecaster Natalia Didenko, "Komersant Ukrainian" reports
“However, it will still be warm in most regions, the air temperature will jump to 9-15 degrees on November 20. Only in Zakarpattia, Lviv and Volyn will it be fresher, 6-9 degrees. Precipitation in Ukraine is unlikely today, except in the western part,” the weather forecaster wrote.
According to Didenko, on November 21, the atmospheric front will move on, causing precipitation (rain turning to snow), cold snap and strong winds.
on November 22, the cold snap will cover the entire territory of Ukraine, and on November 23, another portion of precipitation will arrive.
On November 20, Kyiv will be without significant precipitation and warm, up to 11 degrees. on November 21-23, the capital is expected to experience a cold snap and periodic precipitation with strong winds.
According to the Ukrainian Hydrometeorological Center, cloudy weather with clearings is expected in Ukraine on November 20. Rains are forecast in the western and Zhytomyr regions, which will turn into sleet in some places during the day.
Significant precipitation is possible in the Carpathians and Transcarpathia. No significant precipitation is expected in the rest of the country.
The wind will be mostly southerly, changing to westerly in the western regions. The wind speed will be 7-12 m/s, in some places gusts of up to 15-20 m/s are possible. In the highlands of the Carpathians, the wind will increase to 25-30 m/s, which creates additional risks.
The temperature at night will range from 4° Celsius to 1° Celsius. During the day, thermometers will show 7-12° Celsius, but in the far west, temperatures are expected to drop to 1-6° Celsius. In the southern regions, it will be warmer: 2-7° Celsius at night and 10-15° Celsius during the day.
It is recommended to take into account weather conditions when planning trips, especially in regions with strong wind gusts and precipitation.
